Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Port City FC have confirmed the appointment of former Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku as the club’s new assistant coach ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Opoku joins the technical team with a wealth of experience, having transitioned into coaching following a distinguished playing career. The former midfielder previously served as assistant coach at WAFA SC, earning recognition for his tactical acumen and commitment to player development.
His appointment forms part of Port City’s strategic efforts to strengthen their technical setup as they prepare for their maiden season in the Ghana Premier League. Club officials believe Opoku’s extensive football knowledge, top-level experience and winning mentality will be instrumental in shaping a competitive side.
