The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ellembelle District Assembly, Hon. Kwasi Bonzo has handed a major boost to Zico Professionals who are competing in the ongoing Western Regional Football Association super middle league being staged at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Aiyinasi.
The DCE made a cash donation of ¢10,000.00 to Zico Professionals and was done on his behalf by the Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Sampson Ndoli (Chairman One Man) after their hard fought 1:0 win over LB Sporting Club.
Chairman Ndoli in his speech notified the club about their presence to motivate them, “We are here to motivate you, Chairman and his team for the wonderful game played, the DCE and his strong Constituency are here to inspire you and we hope to see success.”
“He expressed the DCE’s love and desire for sports, hence his unyielding dedication and commitment to youth development.”
He also stressed that one of his core mandate is to ensure that sports develops well and thrives in their jurisdiction.”
Receiving the donation was the Club’s President, Francis Ndede Siah who doubles as the Western Regions NPP Chairman, “he thanked the delegate on their kind gesture, he stated that Zico Professionals will surely make them proud by making it to the second-tier league after the super middle league.”
“We are exhilarated with the present and it will go along way to influence us to do our best, we are thankful to Hon. Bonzo K and the entire delegates, he ended.”
The Do or Die side are second on the Group C standings with three points tied with first place Givova Sporting Academy.
Zico Professionals will play Givova S.A in the group decider at 3:00 pm on June 24,2024.
