In an effort to put a stop to the illicit small-scale mining operations (Galamsey), former deputy minister of information Felix Kwaye Ofosu urged Ghanaians to vote out the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in this year’s election.
According to him, influential NPP administration members are deeply involved in the galamsey practice and lack the confidence to put an end to it.
“If you want a proper galamsey fight, throw Bawumia and the NPP out on December 7th.The only reason why it persists is that major figures in the NPP and government are actively involved in it and as we have heard Prof Frimpong Boateng say on tape,it is a major source of financing of the NPP.
They will simply not fight it,” he wrote on his X page.

He further accused the government of destroying the economy.
“Bawumia and Akufo-Addo have offered rubbish governance, destroyed our economy and plunged us into unprecedented hardships.They have been corrupt ,nepotistic and squandered all the goodwill bestowed on them.
“They will definitely be thrown out at the polls in December,” he said.
