The Nzema Maanle Council has announced a major Multi-Stakeholders General Meeting aimed at bringing together traditional authorities, government officials, educational leaders, security agencies, corporate institutions, youth groups and other key stakeholders to deliberate on critical issues affecting the development of Nzemaland.
According to an official invitation signed by the Acting President of the Nzema Maanle Council, Awulae Atibrukusu III, the high-level meeting will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the AYA Community Centre Conference Hall, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The meeting, which has been described as a significant platform for dialogue and strategic planning, seeks to foster collaboration among stakeholders in addressing pressing developmental challenges and creating a sustainable future for the people of Nzema.
The Council has outlined several priority areas for discussion, including the current status of the Nzema Maanle Complex Facility and its official handover to the Nzema Maanle Council.
Participants will also deliberate on strategies to accelerate development initiatives across Nzemaland, with a strong focus on creating employment opportunities for the youth.
Education will feature prominently on the agenda, with discussions expected to centre on improving academic standards while addressing concerns over the declining teaching and use of the Nzema language in schools.
Another major issue to be examined is the growing prevalence of ghettos and drug-related activities within Nzema communities, as stakeholders seek practical and long-term solutions to safeguard the future of young people.
The meeting will further consider the planning, coordination and implementation of the proposed Nkabomu Festival (Avuya), which is expected to serve as the grand climax of the annual Kundum Festival celebrations.
The programme will conclude with an Any Other Business (A.O.B.) session to allow participants to raise additional matters of concern.
The invitation has been extended to an extensive list of distinguished personalities and institutions, reflecting the Council’s commitment to inclusive development.
Among those invited are Members of Parliament for Ellembelle, Jomoro and Evalue-Gwira, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives, the Western Regional representative on the Council of State, heads of educational institutions, the Ghana Police Service, intelligence agencies, labour authorities, traditional leaders, youth associations and representatives of Nzema communities across Ghana.
The distribution list also includes executives from major corporate organisations operating within the region, such as Ghana Gas Company, Tullow Ghana, Ghana Petroleum Hub Development Corporation, ENI Ghana, Quantum Terminal, Adamus Mining Company and Pecan Energies, as well as transport unions, chambers of commerce and political party executives.
The Council expressed optimism that the participation of all invited stakeholders would enrich discussions and contribute meaningfully to advancing the socio-economic transformation of Nzemaland.
Signed on July 13, 2026, the invitation highlights the Council’s determination to unite traditional leadership, government and the private sector behind a common vision for sustainable development.
