Joana Gyan Cudjoe ends 7-year business partnership with Keche amid marriage clarification

Amenfi Central Member of Parliament (MP), Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has brought her seven-year professional association with music duo Keche to an end, with an official statement clarifying that the decision has no bearing on her marriage to Keche Andrew.

The development follows a statement issued by GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd, announcing the termination of Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s professional and contractual relationship with Keche Global, which commenced in 2019.

While the announcement has generated public interest due to Joana’s marital relationship with Keche Andrew, the statement categorically indicated that the decision is confined to the commercial and professional dimensions of their association.

It stressed that the conclusion of the business relationship should not be interpreted as a divorce or an estrangement between Joana Gyan Cudjoe and her husband, Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, popularly known as Keche Andrew.

“Although the professional relationship has ended, the love, respect and family bond remain,” the statement said.

Joana Gyan Cudjoe served as an Executive Producer and investor throughout the seven-year partnership, playing a significant role in the management, financing, promotion and production activities surrounding the duo.

However, under the new arrangement, GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd will no longer have responsibility for the management, investment, financing, executive production, promotion or other commercial operations of Keche Global.

Keche to continue as a duo

Despite the change in their business arrangement, Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua, born Joshua Kojo Ampah, will continue their musical careers together under the Keche Global brand.

The statement further sought to dispel any speculation of acrimony, insisting that the decision was not occasioned by a feud, hatred, bitterness or controversy between the parties.

Instead, it described the development as the closure of a professional chapter and the commencement of new chapters for all those involved.

Joana is said to remain proud of both members of the group and the accomplishments they have recorded during their seven-year association.

Joana urges continued support for Keche

Although she has withdrawn from the commercial management of the group, Joana has encouraged fans and the general public to continue supporting Keche.

She urged music lovers to keep streaming the duo’s songs, watching their music videos, attending their performances and supporting their future projects.

The MP also reiterated her continued affection and respect for both Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua, emphasising that the termination of the professional partnership does not erase the personal and familial bonds established over the years.

“Keche will always be family,” the statement noted.

The clarification effectively draws a distinction between Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s business relationship with Keche Global and her marital relationship with Keche Andrew, bringing an end to a seven-year commercial chapter while affirming that their marriage remains unaffected.

The announcement is expected to usher Keche into a new phase of its musical journey, with Andrew and Joshua set to continue their work as one of Ghana’s established music duos.
