Medeama Sporting Club defender Fatawu Sulemana believes his side’s recent encounter with Nations FC has provided a significant gauge of their preparedness ahead of their highly anticipated CAF Confederation Cup clash against TP Mazembe.
The Ghanaian outfit faces a formidable continental assignment against the Congolese giants, with Sulemana insisting that a commanding first-leg victory will be pivotal to their hopes of progressing to the next stage of the competition.
Reflecting on the team’s preparations, the defender maintained that the Nations FC encounter offered valuable competitive exposure and demonstrated the squad’s readiness for the magnitude of the continental challenge.
“Our game against Nations FC shows how prepared we are for TP Mazembe. We have to win with a decent goal difference at home to make qualification much easier in Lubumbashi,” Fatawu Sulemana said.
