Gabriel Tanko Kwamega-Atokple elected Volta Region’s Council of State rep

In a fiercely contested election, which saw nine candidates receive zero votes, 36-year-old businessman Gabriel Tanko Kwamega-Atokple was elected as the Volta Region’s representative on the Council of State.

Kwamega-Atokple, a seasoned politician and business professional with extensive experience in corporate leadership, gold sales, real estate development, and public service, was the founder of TK Realties and the CEO of Sesi-Edem Company Limited, spearheading initiatives in responsible mining and real estate development.

A dedicated member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he has actively contributed to policy development and social welfare initiatives in Ghana.

Outside of business, he is well-known for his philanthropic efforts through the Tanko Foundation, which focuses on economic empowerment, healthcare, and education.

His election to the Council of State is anticipated to bring new perspectives and business expertise to the advisory body, representing the Volta Region’s interests at the national level.
