The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has engaged in high-level discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of Adamus Resources Limited, Ms. Angela List, following the recent revocation of the company’s mining lease.
The meeting, which is part of ongoing stakeholder consultations by the Ministry, focused on addressing issues arising from the government’s decision and exploring administrative and legal pathways in line with Ghana’s mining regulatory framework.
While the details of the discussions remain largely undisclosed, the engagement is understood to have centred on compliance matters, due process considerations, and the broader implications of the revocation on operations and affected stakeholders.
The development comes amid heightened public interest in the mining sector following the revocation, with industry watchers calling for transparency, regulatory enforcement, and adherence to established legal procedures governing mineral rights in the country.
Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah has consistently maintained that the government remains committed to sanitising the mining sector, enforcing environmental and operational standards, and ensuring that all mining companies operate within the confines of the law.
Ms. Angela List, on her part, is expected to engage further with relevant state institutions to seek clarification on the way forward for Adamus Resources Limited following the revocation.
The Ministry is expected to continue its engagements with key stakeholders as part of efforts to ensure orderly resolution of outstanding issues within the sector.
