Rev. Kusi Boateng arrested by NIB

The National Investigations Bureau (NIB) arrested Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, who is being investigated for allegedly having numerous identities.

The scandal concerning Rev. Kusi Boateng began in 2023 when Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, an MP from North Tongu who is currently the Foreign Affairs Minister, said in an exposé that the National Cathedral’s secretary to the board of trustees had several passports under several identities.

“From unassailable and irreproachable documents in my possession, Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng, AKA Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, uses multiple passports and multiple identification cards with different names and different dates of birth as his special modus operandi,” Ablakwa stated in a Facebook post.

Ablakwa further asserted that under the alias Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, Rev. Kusi Boateng’s company, JNS Talent Centre Ltd., was given GH¢2.6 million for the National Cathedral project.

He claims to have evidence attesting to the fact that Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng and Kwabena Adu Gyamfi were the same person. Boateng remains an Executive Council Member and Director of the National Cathedral Board in spite of these accusations.

Rev. Kusi Boateng’s attempt to stop MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa from speaking publicly about his involvement in the National Cathedral problems was denied by the Human Rights Court on July 13, 2024.

Although the allegations against him have not been made public, reports indicate that his claimed dual identity is the main focus of the inquiry.
