The National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, chose the number eight during the voting for spots on the ballot paper for the presidential election scheduled for December 7. Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has positively interpreted this choice.
John Dramani Mahama, the party’s flagbearer, is said by Mr. Bagbin to have excellent fortune in the number eight.
He posted on his Facebook page that, “8 is excellence. Don’t break it. Choose it!”
Speaking on September 21, Speaker Bagbin made his comments following the NDC representatives’ selection of eight votes for John Mahama on September 20, during the balloting session arranged by the Electoral Commission.
