Ebiemo FC have secured their first-ever victory in the UMB Division One League after edging Rospak Sporting Club 1-0 at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Zone Two debutants entered Matchday Three desperate for a response after suffering defeats in their opening two fixtures.

The Nzema-based outfit began their campaign with a 1-0 home defeat to Nations FC before suffering another 1-0 setback away to Kwamo Future Stars in Matchday Two.

However, the debutants showed greater resolve on home turf, with Kojo Mahama emerging as the match-winner.

Mahama, who is currently on loan at Ebiemo FC from Ghana Premier League side Basake Holy Stars, confidently converted from the penalty spot in the 50th minute to put the hosts 1-0 ahead.

Rospak Sporting Club pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but Ebiemo FC remained resolute defensively to preserve their slender advantage and collect maximum points.

The triumph marks Ebiemo FC’s maiden win since entering the UMB Division One League, offering a timely injection of confidence after their difficult opening two matches.

The decisive contribution gives the Basake Holy Stars loanee an early moment to remember as Ebiemo FC begin their quest to establish themselves in Zone Two.
