The stark difference between Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been deemed distasteful by Mr. Eric Adjei, the Deputy Spokesperson of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the NDC.
His remarks follow a recent interview in which Mr. Fiifi Boafo, the NPP running mate’s spokesperson, asserted that Dr. Opoku Prempeh was performing far better than Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
Mr. Adjei responded to Fiifi Boafo’s allegations on his Facebook post by saying the analogy is disgusting.
“I really don’t understand the basis of his claims, but I hope he remembers that on the very day “Otumfour” advised him to refrain from his arrogant behavior, he insulted the former president of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Yet, Fiifi Boafo wonders why, as a spokesperson, every time his candidate makes a public statement, they have to issue an apology”, he wrote
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, according to Eric Adjei, is a highly cultured, mature woman with a modest demeanour who is more well-liked among intellectuals for her contributions to Ghana’s nation-building.
He advised Mr. Fiifi Boafo to stop comparing the two since he couldn’t possibly compare Jane’s campaign to Napo’s, which hasn’t succeeded.
