Basake Holy Stars Football Club, head coach Abdulai Gazale has been charged by the Ghana Football Association’s disciplinary committee following his post-match comments after his team’s loss to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, matchday 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
An early goal by Samuel Tenedu was enough as Asante Kotoko beat Holy Stars 1-0 to reclaim the top spot in the Ghanaian top-flight competition.
After the game, an unhappy Abdulai Gazale, who was once in the technical team of the Porcupines, criticized some decisions made by officials.
“I do not usually talk about officials, but I will talk about it because I know what has gone into this match. What Kotoko did in our camp, they did not succeed but they have succeeded here. Look at the foul that they took against us,” Gazale said.
The GFA has since reacted, charging the coach with a breach of Article 34(6)(d) of the Ghana Premier League regulations

Holy Stars are 14th on the Ghana Premier League table with 24 points.
