The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to open nominations for its 2026 Regional Executive Elections on Tuesday, October 6, formally ushering prospective aspirants into the party’s internal electoral process.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the NDC National Secretariat on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, as the party advances preparations for the election of its regional leadership.
The statement, signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah on behalf of the General Secretary, said the exercise would be conducted in accordance with the electoral timetable previously issued by the party.
The timetable, referenced NDC/HQ/25-3/103 and dated August 5, 2026, sets out the various stages and timelines governing the regional executive elections.
The opening of nominations will afford eligible party members seeking to contest the various regional executive positions the opportunity to formally declare their intentions and undertake the requisite processes within the stipulated period.
