Sports Minister Kofi Adams Seeks Ga Mantse’s Blessings Ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, to seek his blessings and spiritual support ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The visit, which took place at the Ga Mantse Palace in Accra, forms part of efforts by the Ministry to engage key traditional authorities as Ghana intensifies preparations for the global tournament.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and national support in ensuring the success of the Black Stars on the international stage.

He noted that the role of traditional leaders remains crucial in rallying the nation behind the team.

In response, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II assured the Minister of his blessings and support, urging players and officials to remain committed, focused, and patriotic as they represent Ghana.

The engagement highlights the growing collaboration between government and traditional institutions in promoting national development through sports.
