Kojo Mahama makes Holy Stars debut in win over Vision FC

Basake Holy Stars midfielder, Kojo Mahama made his debut for Basake Holy Stars in their matchday 22 outstanding game against Vision FC on Wednesday Afternoon.

The Nzema Boys defeated the Ewoo lads 1:0 at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena in Ampain.

A first-half strike from Dacosta Aboagye was enough to secure all the three points for the newbies.

Mahama joined the “Nyamenle wua Yɛ Kɛ wu” lads in the second transfer window.

The 18-year was named on the bench as Abdullai Gazale opted for a midfield trio of Francis Oteng, Sylvester Simba and Issa Yakubu.

Holy Stars proved superior in the game with swift counterattack which saw the host take the lead on the 36th minutes.

Despite Vision’s renewed efforts in the second half, they couldn’t find the equaliser. Mahama was introduced on the 74th minute to replace Emmanuel Agyei.

In spite of the win today, Basake Holy Stars still sits 12th on the league standings with 33 points whiles Vision FC has dropped to 15th position with 29 points.
