HS Ebiemo FC, the junior side of Basake Holy Stars, have secured qualification to the Access Bank Division One League following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fiaseman United in the Western Regional Middle League.
The decisive clash took place at the Axim Sports Complex on Sunday, with both sides battling for a place in Ghana’s second-tier competition next season.
After a tightly contested opening, HS Ebiemo FC found the breakthrough through Bismack Teye, whose well-taken effort proved enough to separate the two teams at the end of proceedings.
Fiaseman United pushed for an equaliser and enjoyed spells of pressure, but HS Ebiemo FC remained resolute at the back, displaying discipline and composure to see out the game.
The win confirms HS Ebiemo FC’s promotion to the Division One League, marking a significant achievement for the Basake-based club as they continue their steady rise in Ghanaian football.
They will now shift focus to preparations for the upcoming Division One League campaign, where they will be aiming to make a strong impression.
