Claims about various voting dates for presidential candidates in the forthcoming general elections of 2024 have been rejected by the Electoral Commission (EC).
This comes after media reports that several presidential candidates may have alternative voting dates. The Commission has declared these statements to be untrue and advised the public to completely ignore them.
Voting for the 2024 general election will take place nationally on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the European Commission said in a statement released on November 24.
“The General Public is informed that the 2024 Election will take place on 7th December, 2024.”
The Commission reminded people to go to the polls in a calm and orderly way and urged all registered voters to take part in the election process.
Additionally, the EC emphasized the importance of each voter’s vote while reiterating its election slogan, “Election 2024 – Your Vote, Your Future.”
