Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak, have officially signed talented defender Ransford Mensah from lower-tier side Danbort FC.

The club confirmed the transfer on Monday, August 19, with great enthusiasm.

“Done Deal! From Danbort FC to Hearts of Oak. Ransford Mensah is a Phobian, and we are pleased to call you one of ours,” the Accra-based club announced, signaling their excitement about the addition.

Ransford Mensah is one of seven new players unveiled by Hearts of Oak as they gear up for the upcoming season. The other new signings include Ramzy Yussif, Mawuli Wayo, Hussein Mohammed, Kwabena Boateng, Isshak Saani Mohammed, and Yahaya Draman.

After a challenging season that saw them narrowly escape relegation by finishing 14th, Hearts of Oak are determined to strengthen their squad to compete for trophies in the coming campaign.

Last season, the club failed to win any silverware despite making several changes to their technical team.

As the new season approaches, the Phobians are actively working in the transfer market, aiming to bolster their squad while also making arrangements to part ways with some players.

The signing of Ransford Mensah and his fellow newcomers marks a significant step in their preparations.
