Francisca Owumi, who placed first runner-up in the first season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) in 2006, has gone away.
Her family posted a poignant yet straightforward statement on her Instagram profile to notify her passing: “A daughter and sister. Amen. May her soul rest in peace.
Owumi reportedly passed away following a brief illness. Remember how she was a standout competitor on the competition, renowned for her exuberant dance routines and endearing demeanour?
After her reality TV stint, she pursued her passion for music, releasing two singles, and also worked as a writer for an international magazine based in Ghana.
She participated in the reality show as a competitor against present presenters Gideon Okeke, Katung Aduwak, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, among others.
