The Special Voting Exercise for Election 2024, which is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, at 276 authorized voting locations nationwide, has been declared ready by the Electoral Commission (EC).
In a meeting with the National Security Task Force, which was led by Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akufo-Dampare, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa affirmed that everything was set up for a successful exercise on Monday.
Jean Mensa reported that 95% of the ballots for the general election scheduled for December 7, 2024, had already been delivered, and that biometric verification machines were already en route to district offices for additional deployment on election day.
The Northern, Bono, and Bono East regions are anticipated to receive ballot papers on Tuesday, November 26; the other regions have not yet received them.
Because of their involvement in the December 7 election, certain categories of registered voters, such as journalists and security workers, are permitted to vote in the Special Voting Exercise prior to the general election.
