The attention of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has been drawn to viral post circulating online about an unauthorized fee charged by one headmaster from fresh students.

The headmaster by name Mr. Afi Yaw Stephen of Berekum Senior High School, has been directed by the GES to step aside for allegedly charging unauthorized fees from form one students.

He has been asked to handover to the Berekum Municipal Director of Education, in the interim, who will take oversight responsibility of the school for the period of his absence effective 7th December, 2023.

This decision is to help the GES to carry further investigation into the allegation.

In another story, the headmistress of the Ghana Senior High School in Koforidua has also been interdicted by the GES for allegedly selling unauthorized item to Form one students reporting to the school.

Mrs. Patience Naki Mensah, the headteacher for Ghana Senior High School has also been directed by the GES to step aside for further investigation into the matter.

Her interdiction was announced in a press release signed and issued by the Eastern Regional Director of Education.
