Former Asante Kotoko captain Richard Boadu has officially signed with Access Bank Division One League-Zone 2 side FC AshantiGold 04, committing to the club until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old midfielder’s future had been the subject of intense speculation, especially after he was seen training with his former club, Asante Kotoko, sparking hopes of a dramatic return to the Porcupine Warriors. However, it is the Obuasi-based AshantiGold that has emerged as the destination for the experienced midfielder.
Renowned for his tough-tackling style and commanding presence in midfield, Agadas brings a wealth of top-flight experience and leadership to AshantiGold as they gear up for the decisive phase of the season.
Boadu’s career trajectory has taken him from Medeama SC to captaining Kotoko, before spells in North Africa, including Libya and Tunisia. His return to Ghana marks a strategic acquisition for the Division One side, who will rely on his proven quality to bolster their squad in the critical stages ahead.
