Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has explained why goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi did not feature in the matchday squad against Hohoe United. Speaking on Asempa FM, Dramani revealed that the decision was part of a deliberate plan to give the player both a mental and physical respite.
“Solomon Agbasi wasn’t on the bench against Hohoe United because I gave him a mental and physical break,” Dramani explained. “The mental break meant not being on the bench at all, so he could fully rest.”
The Hearts boss stressed the importance of managing players’ workloads during demanding stretches of the season. Agbasi, a vital figure for the Phobians, is expected to return rejuvenated for upcoming fixtures.
Hearts of Oak have consistently emphasized player rotation to maintain peak performance while safeguarding the well-being of key squad members. Dramani’s strategy reflects a careful balance between competitive ambition and player care.
With such a thoughtful approach, Hearts of Oak aim to keep their squad mentally sharp, physically prepared, and ready to meet the challenges of the season ahead.
