MATCH REPORT: Tweneboah and Simba Spark Holy Stars to Victory over Hohoe United

Basake Holy Stars concluded the year on a high note with an impressive 2-0 triumph over Hohoe United at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena on Sunday.

The home side produced a disciplined and commanding display, netting a goal in each half to secure all three points and climb to 10th place on the league standings.

Holy Stars set the tempo from the outset, dominating possession and applying relentless pressure. Their efforts bore fruit in the 40th minute when Prince Tweneboah opened the scoring with a clinical finish, giving the hosts a deserved lead heading into the break.

After the interval, Basake Holy Stars maintained control, stifling Hohoe United’s attacks while remaining sharp in the final third. Their persistence was rewarded in the 60th minute as Simba Sylvester doubled the advantage, effectively sealing the victory.

Hohoe United struggled to mount a response and were unable to breach a well-organised Holy Stars defence, a defeat that sees them slide further into the relegation zone.

For Basake Holy Stars, the win provides a morale boost and momentum as they prepare for the next stage of the season.
