President John Dramani Mahama on Monday welcomed Germany’s Federal President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to Ghana as part of a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
The two leaders held productive talks at the Jubilee House focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, renewable energy, and good governance.
President Mahama described the visit as a clear reflection of the strong and dynamic partnership between Ghana and Germany, stressing that Ghana remains one of Germany’s most trusted allies in sub-Saharan Africa.
“Our discussions reaffirmed our shared vision for sustainable development, peace, and prosperity,” President Mahama said. “We value Germany’s friendship and the opportunities our collaboration continues to create for both countries.”

President Steinmeier’s visit, which includes meetings with senior government officials and key industry players, is expected to boost economic and technological cooperation and open fresh opportunities for mutual growth.
As Ghana cements its place as a beacon of democracy and stability in West Africa, the renewed dialogue will mark a new chapter in Ghana-Germany relations built on trust, shared values, and a common drive for progress.
