Karela United are expected to wrap up personal terms with Golden Kicks SC fickle midfielder, Abdulai Zakari this week, as negotiations between the two clubs have reached an advanced stage.
The 19-year old rising star was one of the exceptional midfielders in the Ghana football season with lower-tier side, Golden Kicks, and his potential move to the Passioners is viewed as a huge boost ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
According to club insiders, Karela United have been monitoring the MVP of the MTN FA Cup finals for several months and stepped up their pursuit after the player’s consistent performances for Golden Kicks this season. While the final transfer fee is yet to be officially disclosed, both parties are reportedly close to agreeing on the deal, with only few documentation left to conclude his imminent move.
If the deal is completed as expected, Zakari will become the Pride and Passions’ first major signing of the off-season.
