Top Drive Sport Academy, one of the rising names in football development from Western Region, Takoradi, paid a special visit to Nzemaland yesterday, with Atuabo being their main stop. The purpose of their visit was to scout young talents and observe some of the promising footballers within the Atuabo Circuit. The scouting team, which came well-prepared, interacted with local football lovers and witnessed some of the games organized as part of community sports efforts.
During their time in Atuabo, the scouts from the academy engaged in productive discussions with some of the men who are deeply involved in organizing football games in the area. These individuals, who know a lot about the hidden talents in the circuit, shared valuable insights and gave the scouts a clearer idea of what to expect. The academy representatives expressed their excitement about the quality of talent they saw and promised that this visit was just the beginning of their journey with Atuabo-Ellembelle District.
The communities involved in this initial scouting visit included Eikwe Catholic JHS and Sanzule-Krisan DA JHS. In collaboration with VIS Ghana, an exhibition match was organized between the two schools to showcase their players’ skills. The event was a collaborative effort aimed at giving the scouts a firsthand look at the raw, budding talent in the area.
The Top Drive team assured the community that they will return for a more detailed and official scouting session soon. They emphasized their commitment to giving young players in Nzemaland, especially within the Atuabo Circuit, a genuine opportunity to be seen and possibly selected for further training and exposure. Their presence brought hope to many of the young players, who now feel seen and appreciated for their skills.
Excitement continues to build in the region, with the next major event being an Under-15 Inter-Community Gala, which promises to unearth even more football potential from within the area.
