The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has reaffirmed its commitment to seeing that Miss Joana Deladem Yabani’s murder case is resolved.
On March 17, 2025, the university issued a statement giving an update on the case, stating that the prosecution team had sent the court an autopsy report and an updated charge sheet.
The court did point out that the Attorney General’s Office has not yet provided its advice. The police prosecution team has been instructed by the court to work with the Attorney-General’s Office in order to speed up the procedure.
Remand has been imposed for the second time on Master Daniel Tuffuor, a final-year student who is the main suspect in the suspected death of his fiancée.
The case has been postponed until April 1, 2025, in order to provide time for additional legal proceedings and the Attorney-General’s recommendation.
Assuring the grieving family and interested parties that the institution will continue to keep a close eye on the matter, KNUST’s administration emphasized its dedication to justice.
