Your good works will never be in vain – Methodist Bishop tells Dampare

The immediate former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has been commended by the Very Reverend Richardson Aboagye Andam, the Bishop of the Methodist Church’s Cape Coast Diocese, for his excellent leadership.

The Central Regional Chairman of the Peace Council, Rev. Andam, has recognized that Dr. Dampare served the country with diligence and that his good deeds would not go unappreciated.

According to a report by Accra-based Citi News, the renowned police officer was present at a funeral service held on Saturday, March 15th, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Mankessim, when the commendation was made.

During his sermon, Reverend Andam lauded the former IGP’s outstanding contributions to the nation, which he believes is appreciated by many.

“It’s surprising that my sermon somehow has something to do with the life of our former IGP even though I did not know of his coming today. I want to assure you, Dr. Dampare, that your works will never be in vain. Let me repeat, your good works in the Lord as witnessed by the majority of Ghanaians will never be in vain,” he remarked.

The Bishop pointed out that Dr. Dampare has had a long-lasting effect on the nation, especially with regard to the security plans for the 2024 election.

“What you have done for this country will live with us forever. May God bless you for your wisdom in not allowing police officers to take guns to the polling stations; it was God who spoke to you.

“You saved Ghana, God bless you. Your reward will be huge both on earth and heaven. Over time many others will appreciate you more,” he added.
