In the wake of his media appearance on August 25, 2024, former president and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama has poked fun at NPP flagbearer Dr. Bawumia.
Mahama may be heard jokingly mocking Bawumia’s difficulty stuttering and stammering when answering questions from the press in a video that went viral on X (previously Twitter) and was uploaded by Ghanaian blogger @KALYJAY.
Mahama made fun of the vice president at a community engagement in the Ada East district village of Kasseh.
“You can speak rata-ta-ta-ta like AK 47; suddenly media encounter errrm !eerr errrm ! I think errm errm “
Dr Bawumia following his manifesto, announced his decision to meet the press on August 25.
During this encounter, he gave some answers, such as how Ghanaians expect of him to honour all the promises he has given as a flagbearer as a vice president. On his part, “if I do everything now what would I do when I come into office?” that sparked controversies.
