We won’t be intimidated by Ntim Fordjour’s attempted arrest – Minority

The National Investigations Bureau (NIB) has been accused by the Minority in Parliament of attempting to intimidate Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Ranking Member of Parliament’s Interior and Defence Committee and the Member of Parliament for Assin South.

This comes after the MP made recent accusations that two suspicious flights carrying cash and narcotics were operating out of Kotoka International Airport.

Following an unsuccessful effort to arrest the MP at his Accra home on Wednesday, April 9, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin told the media that the caucus would not be intimidated and would stand by their colleague.

He said the NIB’s action was politically driven and intended to quell criticism in Parliament.

Afenyo-Markin emphasized that due process must be adhered to and reaffirmed the Minority’s commitment to maintaining accountability and transparency in the investigation of the MP’s claims.

Additionally, he urged everyone to stay vigilant and back initiatives to maintain justice and equity.
