The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has denied internet rumors that the results of the most recent exams will be made public on December 29.
According to John Kapi, the Director of Public Affairs at WAEC, who was interviewed on Starr FM, this information is “factually incorrect.”
“…The Minister came there; he was taken around by the head of the office, shown the broken-down machines and the ones that were working but not at full capacity because they were not fully fixed. He was also shown the heap of objective answer cards waiting to be scanned, and then he stepped out.
As Ghanaian parents and students anxiously await their test results, the interview takes place amid confusion and tension.
Online rumors of an unverified December 29th date had been going around, adding needless anxiety. For reliable information on exam results, Mr. Kapi advised the public to solely use WAEC’s official communication channels.
Although a formal release date has not yet been disclosed, parents and students should anticipate that WAEC will use their official social media accounts and website (https://waecgh.org/) to publish the results date.
