Veep Opoku-Agyemang to seek further care abroad after treatment at UGMC

The Vice President of Ghana, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has undergone medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after experiencing a sudden illness on Friday, March 28, 2025.

A statement issued by the Presidency Communications on Sunday, March 30, 2025, confirmed that the Vice President received care at UGMC on Saturday following the unexpected health episode.

The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, further indicated that based on expert medical advice, the Vice President will seek additional treatment abroad.

“We wish the Vice President a speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.
