In reaction to the nation’s worsening economic crisis, National Democratic Congress flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to seek a change in administration.
Friday, June 21, saw Mahama criticizing the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government on social media for allegedly mismanaging national resources, engaging in nepotism, and engaging in corruption.
He said Ghanaians are becoming more and more depressed as a result of the current situation, which has affected the country’s morale.
Announcing his desire to run for president and vowing to bring hope and prosperity back to the nation, Mahama underlined the necessity of a shift in leadership and direction.
“Unspeakable corruption, nepotism, brazen theft, waste of national resources, impunity, and general criminality have become the hallmarks of Ghana’s current government.
“With the national spirit sinking to an all-time low and hopelessness engulfing our country, a change in governance and direction is imperative. That is why I have decided to run for office as President.”
