Nana Bonyah Kofi IV, Chief of Basake and the then Acting President of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council as well as Chairman of its Standing Committee, has commended former President John Dramani Mahama for his visionary Resetting Agenda, describing it as a framework that is already bringing positive change to the nation.
He made the declaration on Friday during the coronation of the new Paramount Chief of the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council, Awulae Blay IX, in a ceremony marked by unity, tradition, and optimism for the future of Nzema.
Nana Bonyah Kofi IV expressed his gratitude to President Mahama, noting that his Resetting Agenda had “given the people a Lands Minister,” referring to Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and newly appointed Minister for Lands.
He urged all traditional leaders within the Nzema area and beyond to support Hon. Kofi Buah in his new role, emphasizing that effective collaboration between government and traditional authorities is essential for sustainable development.
“The Resetting Agenda of President John Dramani Mahama has given us a Lands Minister,” Nana Bonyah Kofi IV stated. “Let us, as traditional leaders, unite and support him to ensure that the development vision for Nzema and the nation is achieved.”
He further noted that President Mahama’s Resetting Agenda aligns perfectly with the ongoing efforts to strengthen unity, peace, and development within the Ellembelle District and the broader Nzema area.
The coronation ceremony of Awulae Blay IX drew several dignitaries, traditional rulers, and political leaders, all of whom pledged their support toward fostering cooperation between traditional institutions and the state for the benefit of the people.
