Tarkwa FM’s renowned sports broadcaster Freddy Jerry Mensah, widely known in media circles as “The Sports Crusader,” has been officially appointed as the Brands and Communications Manager of Tarkwa RTU, a prominent competitor in the WRFA Division II League-Zone 2B.
His appointment follows the club’s recent mutual parting of ways with former Communications Manager Matthias Damoah Adjei (Nana Adjei), paving the way for a refreshed and more dynamic communication structure as Tarkwa RTU strengthens its ambitions for the season.
Jerry Mensah is celebrated for his insightful analysis, authoritative delivery and vibrant on-air presence, qualities that have made him one of the Western Region’s most prominent sports voices. His ability to shape sports discourse and connect deeply with audiences has earned him a strong reputation across the region’s football and media landscape.
His professional journey spans several well-established media houses, including Ankobra FM, West End Radio, Newday FM, Ebiemo FM, and Tarkwa FM , where he continues to deliver compelling sports coverage.
Beyond journalism, Mensah brings valuable administrative experience to his new role. He previously served as the Brands and Communications Manager for Zico Professional, the Tikobo No.1-based Division Two side, where he significantly boosted the club’s publicity, fan engagement and overall brand visibility.
