The Member of Parliament for Sunyani West Constituency in the Bono Region, Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, has received accolades for her tireless efforts in addressing social and economic challenges affecting her constituents.
A notable example of her commitment is the asphalting of Odomasi roundabout to the former court through to Fiapre road, which passes in front of the Odomssi palace.
On 28th July, the MP, Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, and the Bono Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboa esq. inspected the road as constructing asphalting commences.
Residents who had long struggled with the poor state of the road in an interview with Kaakyire Kwasi Afari of Sunyani-based Ark fm expressed gratitude to the MP for her initiative.
They cited the road’s previous condition as perilous, posing health risks to nearby residents and deterring customers from patronizing local food vendors due to dusty conditions during the dry season.
A commercial pragia rider shared the struggles pregnant women face when riding on the potholed road, describing how the rough terrain causes imbalance and unbearable discomfort.
He noted that the road’s poor condition, situated in the heart of the municipal capital, brings shame to the community.
However, with the recent asphalting of the road, he expressed optimism that transportation will become easier for students, farmers, and all road users.
The Bono Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboa, commended the MP for her remarkable work in supporting her constituents’ livelihoods.
He highlighted her recent donation of a pick-up vehicle and two motorbikes to the Regional Police Command to curb robbery attacks on the Sunyani-Berekum highway.
The Minister revealed that the asphalting project is fully funded by MP Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, demonstrating her dedication to improving the lives of her constituents.
He contrasted her efforts with those of the previous MP, emphasizing the current government’s commitment to addressing road challenges, including the Sunyani outer ring road captured in the mid-year budget review.

MP Millicent Yeboah Amankwah told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari that the road asphalting project aligns with President John Mahama’s agenda to reset and improve infrastructure across the country.
She pledged to address all road challenges in her constituency, highlighting the commercial importance of the Odomasi road.
The MP, Millicent Yeboah Amankwah, praises President John Dramani Mahama’s administration for including key infrastructure projects in the 2025 budget, particularly the construction of the Sunyani outer ring road.

The first term MP again commended the Finance Minister and Minister for Roads and Highways for their comprehensive plan to develop major roads, showcasing the government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure across the country.
