Wamanafo Mighty Royals have completed the permanent signing of Clarence Bernard Dong Bortey, the son of Ghana and Accra Hearts of Oak legend Bernard Dong Bortey, ahead of the new season.

The promising youngster joins the club from Auroras FC, the junior side of Hearts of Oak, where he honed his skills while pursuing his academic ambitions.

Dong Bortey Junior has earned recognition for his commitment both on and off the pitch. In January 2024, he graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Science in Administration, successfully balancing higher education with his football development.

His arrival is expected to bolster Wamanafo Mighty Royals’ squad as the club continues to strengthen its ranks for the upcoming campaign.

As the son of one of Ghana football’s most iconic figures, Clarence Bernard Dong Bortey will be eager to forge his own identity and make a lasting impression at his new club.
