Shocking News As Businessman Arrested for Robbing Former 2nd Lady and Others at Gunpoint.

Yahuza Osumanu, a self-proclaimed businessman, has landed in legal trouble after allegedly attacking and robbing former 2nd Lady Mrs. Matilda Yaaba Amissah Arthur, the wife of the late Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. 

The incident, which occurred recently, saw Mrs. Amissah Arthur robbed of various currencies amounting to GH¢3,000, USD$2,200, and Fifty Euros, as well as a gold watch and necklace valued at GHc20,000 and GH¢5000, respectively.

Facing a total of 26 charges, including 20 counts of robbery and six counts of money laundering, Yahuza Osumanu pleaded not guilty to all accusations. On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, he was remanded into prison custody by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that apart from the former 2nd Lady, businessman David Adjaye and three others also fell victim to Yahuza Osumanu’s alleged gunpoint robberies of their valuable possessions.

The case has been adjourned to May 2, with the court instructing the prosecution to complete their disclosures. Additionally, a formal bail application submitted by Osumanu’s legal team led by Paul Asibi Abariga must be served on the prosecution prior to the next court date. The accused remains in custody as the legal process unfolds.
