The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has approved a scheduled shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant from 16th to 30th August 2025 for essential maintenance works.
According to the Ministry, the temporary suspension of gas supply will allow Ghana National Gas Company Ltd. to carry out critical inspections, repairs, and upgrades to boost the plant’s efficiency and ensure safe, reliable operations.
To prevent disruptions in electricity supply, the Ministry, in collaboration with power sector partners, has put in place contingency measures, including the use of alternative fuel sources.
Spokesperson Richmond Rockson reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining stable power supply, assuring the public of regular updates throughout the maintenance period.
