Salim Adams Set for Al Hilal Move as Sudanese Giants Open Talks with Medeama Over GPL Star

Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC could lose one of their prized assets this transfer window, with midfielder Salim Adams closing in on a move to Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC.

The former Hearts of Oak midfielder has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Omdurman-based club, with negotiations now ongoing between the two clubs to reach an agreement over the transfer fee.

Al Hilal have submitted an initial offer of $300,000 for the services of the highly-rated midfielder, but Medeama are understood to be demanding an improved package of around $400,000 before sanctioning his departure.

Adams enjoyed a sensational 2025/26 campaign with the Mauves and Yellows, playing a crucial role in their Ghana Premier League title triumph. The midfielder finished the season with an impressive record of 11 goals and eight Man of the Match awards in 26 appearances, establishing himself as one of the finest performers in the competition.

His outstanding displays have attracted interest from clubs across the continent, with Al Hilal keen to secure his signature ahead of the 2026/27 season as they continue to strengthen their squad.

The talented midfielder previously featured for Hearts of Oak before moving abroad to join FC Cincinnati in the United States, gaining international exposure before returning to Ghana to revive his career with Medeama.

Adams’ remarkable form also earned him a call-up to the Black Stars setup, as he was included in Ghana’s squad for a friendly encounter against Mexico ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

A successful transfer to Al Hilal would mark another major step in Adams’ career and provide him with an opportunity to compete in continental football while showcasing his talent on the North African stage.
