Sad News Hits NDC As Amb. Sam Pee Yalley Reported Dead

Former Ghanaian High Commissioner to India and NDC Professionals Forum President Sam Pee Yalley has passed away. His unexpected death’s cause is not immediately revealed.

On Sunday, April 6, Malik Basintale, the Deputy National Communications Officer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), posted on Facebook to announce his passing.

The NDC scribe praised Amb. Yalley, a well-known public personality, diplomat, and frequent panelist on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana show, calling him “a good man” and expressing the desire of seeing him again in the future.

“You were a good man! We shall meet again someday H.E, as I always called you,” Malik Basintale, who is currently the Ag. Managing Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) wrote, expressing sadness with a crying emoji.

A seasoned lawyer and government figure, Sam Pee Yalley was the National Pensions Regulatory Authority’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

In 2014, President John Mahama named him Ghana’s ambassador to India. Sam Pee Yalley was well-known for his activism, especially in Ghana, where he supported women in leadership roles.
