The lead pastor of Believers Worship Centre, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, has cautioned pastors who have criticized him.
He warns them with serious consequences, including the possible dissolution of their congregations, unless they withdraw their statements within 40 days.
He personally spoke to pastors within the Ghanaian Christian Council, urging them to follow his commands in order to avoid consequences.
“I issue a challenge to any pastor who has criticized me to retract their remarks to their congregation in a span of forty days. They should inform them with the same mouth they used to disrespect me.
“All pastors of the Christian Council should inform their church members about this,” he said in Twi while preaching to his congregants.
This statement follows a press release from the Christian Council of Ghana titled “Beware of false teachers and messiahs,” which condemned Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah for suggesting that his face should replace the widely recognized image of Jesus.
The Christian Council of Ghana stated, “Firstly, we wish to state unequivocally that Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah is not and cannot be the Jesus that Christians seek in Ghana or the world at large.”
The council emphasized that there is only one Jesus for Christians, who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was crucified on the cross.
