Prez. Akufo-Addo reacts to Bawumia’s No. 1 position on ballot paper

In response to the NPP’s selection of Number One on the ballot paper for the general elections of 2024, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has adopted the slogan of NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawuma, “It is Possible.”

Following his distribution of a Dr. Bawumia poster on Facebook, President Akufo-Addo stated, “It is possible.”

On the ballot for the elections scheduled for December 7, 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia placed #1. 

John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) selected the eighth spot on the ballot following voting on Friday at the Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters.

Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP) picked number 2 and the Ghana National Party (GNP) will be number 3 on the ballot paper.

The Ghana Union Movement will be number 4 while the Liberal Party of Ghana picked 5.  The National Democratic Party (NDP) took number 6 and the Convention People’s Party (CPP) picked 7.

On the ballot paper, John Mahama of the NDC will be ranked number eight, and All People’s Congress (APC) will be ranked nine. Despite many arguments between the different party officials, the voting process was successfully completed after more than an hour.

For the Independent Presidential candidates; Alan Kyerematen secured the 13th position while Nana Kwame Bediako took number 12.

Kofi Koranteng will be number 10 on the ballot paper and George Twum Barimah picked number 11.

The Electoral Commission held the balloting for positions on the ballot papers on September 20 following the announcement of the approved candidates for the elections.
