The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a stern warning that the country should expect continued heavy and frequent rainfall in the coming days.
The advisory follows a recent rainstorm that triggered flooding in parts of the Greater Accra Region, including Pantang, Nsawam, Lakeside, and Kasoa.
The Head of GMet’s Central Analysis and Forecast Office, Felicity Ahafianyo, stressed the need for heightened public awareness during the ongoing rainy period.
She advised residents in flood-prone areas to consider relocating, noting that the seasonal downpours have already begun.
