Port City FC Snap Up Former Samartex Winger Francis Gyetuah

Port City FC have continued their impressive recruitment drive with the signing of talented left winger Francis Gyetuah ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

The newly promoted club confirmed the arrival of the former FC Samartex 1996 winger as preparations intensify for their maiden campaign in Ghana’s top flight.

Gyetuah joins Port City with valuable Premier League experience after his stint with Samartex, where he showcased his pace, creativity and attacking prowess. Comfortable operating on the left flank, the winger is expected to provide width, flair and increased attacking options for the club.

In a statement announcing the signing, Port City FC expressed confidence in the winger’s ability to contribute positively to the team’s ambitions.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Francis Gyetuah, a talented left winger who joins our squad ahead of the new season. Francis arrives with experience from Samartex 1996 FC, and we are excited to have him on board. We wish him every success in our colours.”

Gyetuah becomes the latest addition to an increasingly formidable Port City squad, with the club having already secured the signatures of Gideon Waja, Stephen Diyou, Kwabena Adu Meider, Daniel Osei Senior and Ishak Suraj, while also appointing Jordan Opoku as assistant coach.

The steady influx of experienced players underscores Port City’s determination to build a competitive side capable of making a strong impact in the Ghana Premier League.
