The Awiaso traditional council on Wednesday, 29th November 2023, under the auspices of the Nzema Overlord Tumivol3 Kaku Aka III had a successful installation of administrative sub-chiefs who will be assisting together with his council of elders to administer the Nzemaland.

This event was one of its kind a wonderful one which brought together many Nzemas at the diaspora back home at Awiaso to grace the occasion with their support. The king together with his council of elders and other chiefs from the various surrounding towns were ‘clothed” with joy and happiness as they portray the rich Nzema culture and tradition.

Tumivol3 Kaku Aka III speaking on that day expressed heartfelt appreciation to his people for the support given to him and his council of leadership. He further addressed his people on the importance of staying in unity to achieve a common goal for which the great Nzema is fighting for.

The king also sent strong warming to individuals, agents and institutions who are behind the degradation of lands and pollution of the major water bodies in the Nzemaland to galamsey activities. Almost every water bodies that find their rest in the territories on the land have been polluted and hence stringent measures is needed to curb the situation.

Mr. Yaw Anokye Frimpong, an Nzema Historian and Lawyer who attended the event also condemned the activities of galamsey in the Nzema town. He has a strong conviction that an Nzema man will one day lead us to freedom and better lives for Ghana and the entire content of Africa.

He said, “as long as unemployment continues to exist, people will continue to engage in galamsey activities. But my own problem is the fact that most of our water bodies are being destroyed. Politicians are reluctant to providing jobs for the people, but these are the same persons spearheading the galamsey activities. They should be captured and beheaded.”.
