Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha has expressed his astonishment at seeing Kennedy Agyapong campaigning for NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Kumchacha was convinced that Agyapong would avoid supporting Bawumia due to their well-known political rivalry.
In a viral video shared by blogger Thosecalledcelebs, Kumchacha remarked that Agyapong’s past criticisms of Bawumia could be exploited by opposition parties as the general elections draw near. Despite Agyapong’s backing of Bawumia, Kumchacha remains skeptical about the NPP’s chances in the 2024 elections, citing their governance performance.
“I’ve seen Ken Agyapong trending on social media after he was spotted campaigning for Bawumia in Kumasi. Despite this, I believe the NPP is heading for opposition. The statements Agyapong made about Bawumia will likely be used against them by the public,” he noted.
Kumchacha highlighted that Agyapong had previously claimed he was offered an $800 million bribe to withdraw from the presidential primaries and had criticized Bawumia’s economic capabilities. Witnessing Agyapong endorse Bawumia at a campaign event left him profoundly shocked and served as a stark reminder of the unpredictability of trusting individuals.
These comments followed Agyapong’s appearance at the NPP Ashanti Regional campaign tour, where his support for Bawumia surprised many, given their past differences.
