Skyy FC are continuing their reconstruction efforts by securing the services of two players from Zico Football Club (FC), a team in the Division II League, zone 2-group 3.

Following an on balanced 2023/24 football season, during which they finished 4th in the league standings with 47 points, a six-point margin behind Champions Basake Holy Stars with 56 points, Skyy FC are actively working to rebuild. They faced disappointments not only in failing to qualify to the Ghana Premier League but also experiencing a lackluster performance in the MTN FA Cup, exiting in the quarter finals after a defeat on penalties to Bofoakwa Tano at the Sunyani Coronation Park, after a 1-1 stalemate after extra time.

Robert Kwame

To spearhead this rebuilding phase, the recently appointed technical team of the club has successfully secured the talents of two players from Zico Professionals FC, a team based in Nzema -Tikobo 1.

The duo consists of defender Robert Kwame and forward Edmond Armah, all of whom have committed to long-term contracts with Skyy FC .

In the previous season, these players played pivotal roles for Zico FC, contributing significantly to their slot in the Super Middle League before they were disqualified from playing the finals against Sekondi Eleven Wise after Nsuopun Fidelity FC won a protest. Particularly noteworthy, Edmond Armah who emerged as the team’s top scorer having netted an impressive 7 goals in the zonal League and 3 goals in the Middle League.

Edmond Armah

With their signatures now inked, Edmond Armah and Robert Kwame have seamlessly integrated into the club’s training sessions as they gear up for the upcoming 2023/24 football season.

These two acquisitions mark the latest additions to the team during this transfer window, following the arrivals of Daniel Fiador- Nsuopun Fidelity FC, Cusi Boateng -Wamanafo Mighty Royals, Samuel Ainoo-Tarkwa Barcelona, Josiah Kwofie-Sedan Academy, Albert Ato Hammond -Venomous Vipers, Isaac Cobbinah -Cheetah FC, Frank Oduro Adjofuaman FC and Amidu Iddrisu from Cheetah FC.
